Interventions may also be targeted to the world of dance and sport. Not yet widespread in Italy, we find the DANCE ABILITY.
The Danceability has developed in the United States, using the principles of Contact Improvisation, (a technique used spontaneously by contact) with Alito Alessi, dancer and choreographer, director of Joint Forces Dance Company. Not a "therapy" or a "dance therapy" but an artistic expression and creative real.
There are no precise target of dance ability, any courses that suggests any association or group are open to everyone, able-bodied and disabled people with any physical disability, sensory and mental disability is not serious.
are increasingly invited to participate dancers, social workers, teachers ...
The Danceability is a technique that allows people with disabilities and people with disabilities to meet and dance together, through a process that uses physical skills and expressive individual. The purpose is not to dismiss those who can not dance, but to give everyone a chance to express themselves through the technique of improvisation, based on self-awareness, mutual trust. You can do so many different experiences with different abilities, going against the move in space, overcoming the various obstacles that every day we are used to meet.
The technique promotes Danceability:
· an exchange between different artistic backgrounds, and cultural skills of participants, so that differences are an asset, not a limit;
· the discovery and awakening of all parties the body, a more deep contact with themselves;
· the opportunity to relate to other people with respect and confidence, thanks to the spontaneous communication that occurs through contact;
· the increase and strengthening of trust in others and themselves, through ' exploring new and unusual range of motion.
